1. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (CGV) govern the contractual relationship between
the owner of Bastia Room and the client regarding the reservation of accommodations.
Any reservation implies full acceptance of these CGV without reservation.

2. Reservation and Payment

  • The reservation is confirmed upon receipt of full payment, as specified during the booking process.

  • Rates include all charges except the tourist tax, payable on-site.

  • Accepted payment methods: credit card, bank transfer, or cash.

  • Any specific request must be made at the time of booking and may incur additional fees.

3. Rates and Tourist Tax

  • Rates are quoted in euros (€) and include applicable taxes, except for the tourist tax (per local regulations), which must be paid on-site.

  • Rates may change without notice, but confirmed reservations are guaranteed at the agreed-upon rate.

4. Cancellation and Modification

Cancellation by the Client:

  • More than 3 days before the arrival date: full refund.

  • Between 1 and 3 days before arrival: 50% refund.

  • Less than 1 day before arrival or in case of no-show (absence or no communication by 11:00 PM on the scheduled day): no refund.

  • In case of force majeure (e.g., health crisis), a full refund will be issued upon presentation of supporting documentation.

Cancellation by the Owner:

  • In case of cancellation by the owner, a full refund will be provided. The client will be informed as soon as possible.

Modification:

  • Any modification (dates, number of occupants, etc.) is subject to availability and may incur a fee of €10 per change, depending on the nature of the request.

5. Duration of Stay

  • The client agrees to adhere to the stay dates agreed upon during booking. No refund will be issued for early departure unless prior agreement with the owner is reached.

  • Any extension must be requested in advance and is subject to availability.

6. Arrivals and Departures

  • Arrivals: Rooms are available from 2:00 PM. Late arrivals (up to 2:00 AM) are possible upon prior request and subject to availability.

  • Departures: Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 AM.

  • A buffet breakfast service is available on-site from 5:00 AM to 10:30 AM, at a rate of €4 per person, payable on-site.

8. House Rules

To ensure a pleasant stay for all:

  • Respect the peace and quiet of the premises and other occupants.

  • Rooms are strictly non-smoking. A designated smoking area is available on the terrace.

  • Any intentional or unintentional damage must be reported immediately to the owner and will be charged based on the actual cost of repair or replacement, with proof provided.

9. Pets

  • Pets are allowed only upon prior request and subject to the owner’s approval,.

10. Liability

The owner is not liable for:

  • Theft, loss, or damage to the client’s personal belongings during their stay.

  • Improper use of the facilities by the client.
    The client is responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their companions to the rented premises. Travel insurance is recommended to cover such eventualities.

11. Force Majeure

In the event of unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances (force majeure) making the execution of the contract impossible (e.g., natural disaster, pandemic), the obligations of both parties will be suspended without mutual compensation.

12. Personal Data

Personal data collected during the reservation process is used solely to manage your stay and will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law. You have the right to access, modify, or delete your data by contacting the owner at bastia.room@gmail.com.

13. Disputes

In the event of a dispute regarding the interpretation or execution of these CGV, the parties will strive to reach an amicable resolution. Failing that, the dispute will be submitted to the Judicial Court of Bastia.

Owner’s Commitment

The owner commits to providing a warm welcome, services consistent with the descriptions provided during booking, and assistance in helping you explore Bastia and its surroundings.
